The Most Promising Junior Player Award was presented to a player who in his first year with club has proved to be a naturally gifted table tennis player with considerable potential. This player is Shaun Gutridge. He has shown that he is highly motivated in both his training and competitive play, an essential characteristic towards achieving success. He was 5 th in the division 4 averages with 86% and helped his team Kinross to a commendable 5 th position in the final table. If he continues developing his technique and tactics, I am sure will eventually attain Premier League status. |

Junior Player of the Year; Sean Weddell |
||||||||||||||||||||||
Junior Player of the year is Sean Weddell. His CV this season consists of: Represented the CTTC Javelin Team in the National Junior League 2008/09 with Alex Cochrane and Tom law which finished with a very credible runners up position. Medway Division 4 Singles Champion and double champion with his partner Alex Cochrane in the Medway Championships 2008/09. Top of division 4 averages with 96% and with his team mates Alex Cochrane, Tom Law and James Townsend achieved second position behind a very strong Walderslade Vikings team. .Sean is a very gifted young table tennis player who is very committed to table tennis. His keenness to achieve is apparent in his approach to training and match play. Last year Sean received the Most Promising Player Award and now our Chairman is proud to present him with Junior Player of the Year Award for 2008/09. Congratulations Sean! |

Adult Player of the Year; Denny Jose |

The Chairman’s Adult Player of the Year award goes to Denny Jose. Denny has captained the Cumberland team to a commendable 6 th position in Division 1 of the Medway League. His outstanding success this year was competing in the Medway Championships and winning the Division 1 Title. Well done Denny. |

Senior Player of the Year; Roger Chipperfield

Dennis has chosen Roger to be presented with Senior Player of the Year Award. Roger has been a keen member of CTTC for eight years or more. He is a level 2 coach and has consistently helped with the development of the Juniors throughout that time. He has captained a junior team each year and this year has looked after the Lincoln team. Roger has been coaching in Miers Court Primary School this year and has encouraged a squad of players mainly girls to attend CTTC. During the season Roger fell breaking his shoulder in three places and at the same time fracturing his thigh while trying to return a ball. However he made a remarkable recovery and was soon back playing and looking after his Junior team. |

The chairman is delighted to give this award to one of our youngest new members simply oozing with potential talent and showing terrific enjoyment and enthusiasm for the game. Namely Evie Foster. Evie has been among the first to turn up for training each week with a big smile on her face and after only a few months her enthusiasm and dedication has resulted in development of good basic skills and an understanding of the game. Well done Evie! |
