Dorset managed to win their first match in Div 2. Refreshed by the previous week’s bye in the Charles Stamp, and with Roger Chipperfield bright eyed and bushy tailed following his holiday, the team were fully focused on getting a decent outcome. Roger broke his duck in the division with two super wins against Mel Curtis and Shahab Raza and narrowly missed taking David Gracey to a fifth deciding set. Ebrahim was playing two matches on this evening for Div 2 and playing up in Div 1, he lost his opening match against Dave Gracey in the fourth set and promptly set about his remaining opponents winning in 5 and 3 sets respectively. Steve Wadey managed to overpower the opponents from Upnor and in doing so obtained his first hat-trick of the season.
