A very sad time for us all.  The passion Bernie had with the club was immense and will be most difficult to replace.  I have lost not just a colleague but a friend I shall sorely miss.

Dear Chris,

Past and present members of Boxley Table Tennis Club would like to extend their condolences to you and to Bernie's family on the sad news of his passing.

As a staunch supporter of our sport he served the league as well as his club with energy, enthusiasm, tact and skill.

We at Boxley particularly remember his help in our season at Chattenden, when our regular venue was unavailable to us.

Kind Regards,
Mick Sheppard

From Upnor Table Tennis Club

Chris,

Forgive the delay, but I thought that I should pass on the condolences from all the players at Upnor TTC over the sad death of Bernie. Bernie was a much-liked man who made a significant contribution to table tennis in Medway and for Chatham TTC in particular.

I always enjoyed a chat with Bernie when I played against CTTC at the Howard, both on current TT matters or some nostalgia between us. I served with him on the MTTTL committee and he was an invaluable source of information. He will be missed and he will be fondly remembered.

Regards,
Ken Walter
