VERY IMPORTANT - CHANGE OF VENUE FOR OUR CLUB PRACTICE EVENING

AS FROM WEEK COMMENCING 10TH SEPTEMBER 2007, OUR CLUB PRACTICE EVENING FOR ADULTS WILL BE AT THE HOWARD TT CENTRE EVERY FRIDAY 7.30PM - 10.00PM AND NOT AT CHATHAM GRAMMAR SCHOOL FOR BOYS.

THE JUNIOR BEGINNERS SESSION WILL CONTINUE TO BE HELD AT THE SCHOOL (5.30PM - 7.30PM) UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

COMMITTEE APPOINTMENTS

AT A RECENT COMMITTEE MEETING THE FOLLOWING CHANGES WERE AGREED:

JOHN PARRY HAS JOINED THE COMMITTEE AS THE CLUB MEMBERSHIP SECRETARY, JOHN MARTINDILL HAS JOINED THE COMMITTEE AS "CLUB CAPTAIN", MARK PHILLIPS HAS AGREED TO BECOME THE CLUB'S FIXTURES SECRETARY AND FUND RAISER AND IAN KELLY WILL SUCCEED TONY CARLTON AS THE CLUB'S TREASURER. AS FROM MARCH 2008, BERNIE WINTER WILL REMAIN AS "FIRST CONTACT" IN ALL MATTERS RELATING TO THE ETTA AND THE MTTTL AND WILL REDIRECT ANY ENQUIRIES TO THE APPROPRIATE EXECUTIVE OFFICER. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES REMAIN UNCHANGED AT THIS TIME.

SPONSORSHIP REQUIRED

Wwe are looking for sponsors to support CTTC and would welcome talking to any commercial organisation who may be interested in gaining publicity about their company or product. We can offer a "link" to your web site, or an advert in "Bat Chat" - our quarterly newsletter (circulation 500 +) or even the possibility of including your company name or logo on our shirts, which would be seen all over the Medway. We have been awarded the prestigious SPORT ENGLAND CLUB MARK in recognition of our administrative set-up and compliance of good practice standards.

Also JOHN KEMP and his Coaching team have been awarded a Certificate for Volunteering Excellence in recognition of their outstanding voluntary contribution made to the Kent Community

BERNIE WINTER was voted CLUB DEVELOPMENT OFFICER of the year 2004 by the English TableTtennis Association

TONY CARLTON and BERNIE WINTER were both nominated for the Kent Messenger SPORTS VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR AWARD 2005

Our Club Coaches often use a Video Camera to assist in the coaching process. In accordance with our Child Protection Policy, we need to know if you have any objection to your child being videoed for that purpose.
