STOP PRESS
It is with great sadness that we have to report that our Honorary President PENNY SUMMERS passed away on Thursday 4/3/2010 at the Wisdom Hospice. Penny was a legend within the Medway League, a frequent caller to local radio stations, lovingly known as "Ping Pong Penny". In her hey day, she was a real "handful" when on the opposite side of the table and possessed a very fast forehand service that caught many out! She will be sadly missed.
Her funeral is on Thursday 18th March at 2.20pm at the Crematorium on Bluebell Hill. The family have requested no floral tributes and the Club will be donating £50 to the Cancer Prevention Research Trust. At a later date, we shall be asking if one of her daughters will agree to present future awards for the "Penny Summers Handicap Trophy"
